But he still continued to fight the good fight and I'm pretty sure he went back to the order after all the Star Forge bullshit was sorted out.Īnakin did become an oathbreaker, not because he left the order but because in doing so he initiated one of the worst genocides the galaxy had ever seen, including personally slaughtering the order's younglings, and issuing in the rise of the galactic Empire, betraying the Old Republic that his order had been tasked with defending and preserving. ![]() Jolee didn't become an oathbreaker, because all he did once he left the order was fuck off into the woods. But one became an oathbreaker and one did not. Arguably, both paladins (though actually trying to accurately portray Jedi in 5e would require multiple levels in paladin, monk, and potentially one or another full spellcasting classes). The analogy I use for this is the difference between Jolee Bindo and Anakin Skywalker. It is specifically a paladin who breaks their oath in order to pursue evil paths to power. Oathbreaker is more than just breaking their oath. ![]()
